The Cabo Verde Islands are situated 450 km west of the coast of Senegal (15°lat.) and 1500 km south of the Canary Islands. The archipelago is situated year-round in the trade wind-zone. ClimateFor europeans the climate is sufferably very well all over the year. It is not too hot in summer and there are only a few days with rain showers for few hours only (from august to mid October).

ArrivalSantiago is the biggest island with the capital Praia at the south coast. Up in the north 65 km far away is the town of Tarrafal with the KING FISHER RESORT. Transfer The transfer by car (Taxi) from Praia to Tarrafal is about 75 minutes. the price is about 70 €. (We recommend to haggle about it.) For groups we recommend a pick up shuttle (Aluguer).
Visa You need a visa to enter the country. You should apply for one in the embassy of Cape Verde in your country.You can get one while entering the airport as well. But attention the risk: There is no liability in that. FlightsLow-budget flights are available from all over Europe to Lisboa (PT), continued by daily flights directly to Praia (CV).
